Woohoo!

Woohoo!

Last Sunday, I had another amazing surprise from God! I won Hope Centre’s Photo Competition 🙂 The theme was to post a photo that depicts one of church’s main anthems: because people matter. Above is the winning photo ☺

I promised I’d explained the reason behind this photo, so here you go…

I posted this photo while Glen & I are preparing for Bridge to Brisbane last Sunday. l used this photo to promote our fundraising page as we are not only running to meet our health goals, but we are also running for the kids at World Vision.

I am very passionate about kids. I believe that every child deserves a better future, a safe environment to live in & deserve quality education. I believe it is the right of every child to be given an opportunity to dream BIG dreams, no matter who they are & where they’re from.

But unfortunately, not all kids are given the chance to make their dreams happen, mainly because of poverty & injustice. For those disadvantaged & helpless kids, I want to be one of those people who put their hand up and do something to help them. That’s where our fundraising for World Vision comes in.

If you want to know more of what World Vision do, below are the website for World Vision Philippines & World Vision Australia so you can check it out:

‘So yes, it might just be a photo of 2 shoes, but as a wise man once told me – in photography, 2 things are important: the subject & the story it captures. I’m not just randomly taking a photo of 2 shoes – I am inviting people in joining Glen & I for a great cause – making a difference in the life of disadvantaged kids & help fight poverty & injustice. If you want to join us in this great cause, please click here to go to the fundraising page & together let’s make a difference.’ 🙂

By the way, I’d like to thank my dear husband for accepting my prize for me last Sunday & for explaining not just the photo but relaying my story. Gleny, I know I haven’t told you yet, but thank you because you know me so much more than I know myself. Thank you for always believing in my dreams and believing they can all happen. You’re the best husband in the whole wide world of the universe and I’m glad your mine. ♥
